Client: The Abbey community
Project: to reduce the environmental impact of this large Abbey.
Services provided: NBT Consult are providing ongoing help in developing an Environmental Strategy for the Abbey, particularly focussed on energy use of the large uninsulated buildings, carbon impact, water use, sewage treatment and long term structural and maintenance issues. Our usual approach of optimising insulation and airtightness have a limited role to play in a project such as this and so NBT Consult have explored a range of innovative, and by necessity, low cost solutions to a difficult problem.
